Our Village Hall provides a central community space where residents can access services, physical & mental health activities, and social interaction opportunities which would be unavailable otherwise. Due to its facilities and accessible location, the Crianlarich Village Hall also makes a great venue for organisations looking to host events, seminars, gatherings and weekend retreats. Below is a list of many of the regular local, regional & national organisations which use our Village Hall:
Local
Strathfillan Community Development Trust host drop-in sessions every Thursday (9am-5pm) in the Committee Room. The Development Officer is available to chat to anyone within the community on Thursdays, so if you have an issue to raise please feel free to drop in. Alternatively, you can get in touch with Strathfillan Community Development Trust by contacting office@strathfillancdt.org.uk.
Crianlarich Primary School & Crianlarich Nursery each use the hall for a variety of activities, including physical education, concerts, drama and end of term events. They are booked in every Tuesday & Thursday afternoon.
Tyndrum Pottery run weekly clay pottery making sessions over various periods of the year.
The Church of Scotland host regular services in the Committee Room and use the hall for irregular meetings.
Indoor Bowls sessions are held in the Main Hall every Tuesday evening over the winter.
Strength & Balance sessions are held every Thursday between 2pm-4pm, for any residents within the area who seek the benefits of regular physiotherapy. The sessions are jointly held by the Loch Lomond & Trossachs Countryside Trust and the Strathfillan Community Development Trust. Crianlarich Children's Party Association holds annual Halloween and Christmas parties for the children of Crianlarich. All children in Crianlarich and Inverarnan, aged from birth to the end of P7 are invited to the parties.
Regional
The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Authority use the CVH for regular meetings throughout the year.
The West College of Scotland Creative Retreats are held in the CVH on annual basis.
The Scottish Rural & Agricultural College (SRUC) host regular seminars and events in the CVH.
National
The RAF Mountain Rescue group use the hall as a base during regular training sessions throughout the year. The hall becomes a temporary hostel for the weekend.
The Scottish Fire Service use the CVH for training events and seminars.
The DVLA use the CVH for driving theory tests throughout the year.
The Youth Hostel Association host annual weekend gatherings.
The Mountain Both Association host annual weekend gatherings and their AGM in the CVH.
